OUR STORY

Allegheny City Brewing is an award-winning neighborhood brewery located in the Deutschtown neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

The idea for ACB was born years ago when the three of us (Al, Amy, and Matt), all hailing from Pittsburgh, moved to Colorado. It was during our time in Rocky Mountains that we fell in love with craft beer and the sense of community that small breweries provide. We loved every aspect of these places, from the brew house dogs to the commitment to their neighborhoods and sustainability.

After traveling to visit hundreds of breweries, and trying countless great craft beers, we began home brewing. Like most home brewers, we hatched a plan to open a brewery.

Looking to return to our native Pittsburgh, we all relocated back in 2013. On September 28, 2016 we officially opened our doors.

We are proud to be located in the North Side of Pittsburgh - formerly the City of Allegheny - hence our name. We are proud history of the area, and hope that our tap room pays homage properly.

We are proud to be a part of the neighborhood, and the Pittsburgh craft brewing community. Our goal to every one of our patrons is to provide great beer, a relaxing environment, and great service.

Cheers!
